Hola from Madrid!
I’m Addison, your student blogger for the day.
Today was a very exciting day! In the morning we were split into four groups and had our very own version of The Amazing Race around Madrid. We learned about different aspects of Madrid related to the culture. Some of our challenges included finding the Cibeles and Neptune fountains and the oldest restaurant in Madrid, and trying on very Spanish outfits from Zara…so fun!
Later in the day a small group of us went to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, also known as the Real Madrid stadium. While we were there we saw a variety of things including players’ jerseys and trophies they have won over the years. We even stepped on the edge of the field in the coaches area. My favorite part was seeing the team of the century trophy. This trophy has only been awarded once and FIFA awarded it to Real Madrid.
Then, dinner for the day was gigantic pizzas.
We are all excited for the days to come. Tomorrow is our last day in Madrid and we are all excited to go to the Reina Sofía museum and watch a flamenco show!
Hugs from Spain!
